New Album for 2012?

Still hot from the studio. There were news about a new album. Now, the trio are in the early stages of working on an eighth, as-yet-untitled, album. "Work is going well," Nicky says.

And for this album they are using Abbey Road studio, to record the music,

"We completely refurbished our studio [at a cost of €2m, he estimates] and it's a much more conducive space to make music. We have lots of light now and proper air conditioning. (Nicky Ryan)

Nicky has ambitious plans for this album -- including work with an orchestra and full choir in the fabled Abbey Road studios. "Enya is up for it," he says. "We worked there when making the music for The Lord of the Rings. Our studio just isn't big enough to accommodate a choir and orchestra."

The news about the new album is taken from donegaldaily.com and independent.ie. This rumor has been confirmed by Roma Ryan, through Nigel Selens (Unity Moderator):

"As far as the album is concerned you can let the forum know that we are in the studio working on the next album." (Roma Ryan)

Another good news about the concert:

"We have considered touring before, but we didn't make the time. Working with musicians in Abbey Road is with a view to bringing people on the road. There would be a classical feel to the performances with Enya playing beautiful venues in front of an orchestra. Just think how amazing 'Orinoco Flow' would sound when played live."

An Article By Enya

Recently Enya writes a article for Irish Roots Magazine, a short story of their career in music (more information of this go to Irish Roots Magazine website or the discussion thread in Unity)   There were several things that happen in Enyaland, that I would like to share it here. From the main land, The Trio congratulate Daniel Polley (digital technical advisor and engineer on Amarantine and And Winter Came album - thanks for Kerry for the information) for winning in the Irish Formula Vee Leinster Trophy Race at Mondello Park Racing Circuit. Andyou might like to see his car here.  Another media-related news were an article from Irish Diggest, Eithne went out to her father's pub Leo's Tavern in Meenaleck, West Donegal for a family gathering, Simply a family gathering, there were no gigs or else. for more information about this please go to their site).   An excrept from the article: “We’d not usually seen Enya here but she seemed in fine form enjoying the family night out. It was her birthday ten days ago. Some punters were hoping for a song but it didn’t happen. There was no singing or no interference from punters, just a quiet family night out,” she said.

February Update

Though February almost over, but it's never too late to make an update isn't? First update comes from Enyaland, for those who already had The Very Best of Enya album (well... everyone except me )knows that there are beautiful hand writing for the Liner Note in the booklet. The artist is Ruth Rowland, and for those of you who want to know more about her, you can visit her personal blog here , and her post about her works on The Very Best of Enya can be read here.

A Hundred Question for Miss B

When we read an article about Enya in magazine or newspaper, mostly it’s about her works, her new album, how long it takes to process the album, story behind the song, etc. We rarely read an article about her personal or private life. Pia Magazine has been succeeded to to interview Enya for a personal issues, there are a hundred question for Enya, which are bit personal question. Or at least not a standard question we ever read in other magazine before. Question about drama, television and even about karaoke. The interview can be read at pia.co.jp. It’s in Japanese, but you could use google translate to read the article in English. Enjoy :)

Interview In Eurochannel

Another good news in this holiday, in January 10th, 2010, Enya would be interviewed in Eurochannel.   Here's the news from their website:   Both Singer and composer, the Irish Enya released in 2009 her latest album The Very Best of Enya.
